I know this is a strange question to pose to writers, but some people hate it and would rather do something else. If you’re one of these people, this post (and the ones that will come after it, are for you).
Depending on the subject matter (non-fiction), there are many things that you can do. A simple one is to write out all the headings for your chapters and all the topics you want to cover.
Next, if you have a smartphone or a computer with a microphone, download a free voice recording program. For each chapter, record your thoughts.
Next, you’ll need to get those recordings transcribed. You can do it yourself, but it’s time-consuming. A better option is to head over to a site such as Upwork or Guru and hire a freelancer to do it for you. Once you have the transcriptions, you’ll need to do some editing, adding and subtracting content.
This is one fast way to write a book and can save you an enormous amount of time. In the next post, I’ll discuss another fast method of writing.
